Terms & Conditions:

  • Criteria for entry in competition
    • This competition is open only to people residing in Nepal and shall include expatriates and foreigners residing in Nepal. However, employees of ECS Media and Unilever Nepal or anyone else directly associated with this competition shall not be eligible to participate.
    • In case of selection to the final round, the winners will have to be present at the venue which will be in Kathmandu.
    • Entrants below the age of 18 are required to obtain the consent of their parents or legal guardian in order to meet the eligibility requirements for participation. If a person below 18 years of age submits his/her own orginial recipe and picture, the Organizers shall assume that he/she has taken consent from his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
    • Furthermore, each entrant, if chosen for the final round, is required to cook his/her own recipe submitted for the contest. No outside help will be allowed.
  • Submission
    • All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. Clicking on the ‘Submit’ button will mean that the entrant has read through and accepted the Terms & Conditions. The decision of the judges is final.
    • Entries should be submitted via the options listed below:
      • Online through www.healthylife.com.np/contest/:
        • Entrants can go to healthylife’s website and submit the recipe and upload the photo.
      • Email through iloveknorr@gmail.com:
        • Entrants can email their recipe and accompanying picture. The recipe can be attached with the mail or written in the body of the email.
        • Participants need to list their Name, Age, Mobile Number, Landline and detailed Address when they submit through email.
      • Postal submission:
        • Entrants can mail their recipe and a printed photo of the dish to PO Box 7765.
        • Participants need to list their Name, Age, Mobile Number, Landline and detailed Address when they submit through mail.
        • Please note that we will not accept postal entries that do not arrive on the closing date of the contest.
    • All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date. Late entries may be eligible to be transferred to the next round.
  • Prize Collection
    • The winners must collect their prize(s) in person and may not send anyone else as representatives to collect their prize. In case, the 1st winner is not able to collect the prize, it will be transferred to the second place winner, whose prize will then transfer to the third place winner and so on.
    • The prizes listed above DO NOT cover transportation arrangements. It is the responsibility of the winners to arrange their own transportation.
    • Furthermore, the Top 10 finalists will have to cover their own transportation and accommodation during the final round.
    • In order to participate in the final round, the organizing committee shall contact the finalists via email and phone. Failure to reply within the stated time mentioned in the email shall automatically disqualify the contestant from participating in the final round.
    • The cash prize of Rs. 70,000 is applicable to taxes.
  • Copyright
    • The entrant represents and warrants the recipe submitted is their own and not copied from any published source – internet, cook books etc.
    • Entrants further represents and warrant that the photograph they are submitting is the exact same dish for the recipe they are submitting.
    • Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Organizers to feature any or all of the submitted images and recipes in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
  • Fundamentals
    • The pictures submitted by the participant may be used as promotional material.
    • An entrant can submit multiple entries, provided each recipe is accompanied by the picture for the same dish.
    • Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. The Organizers shall not be responsible for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
    • The photographs should not be digitally altered at all.
    • The organizers reserve the right to crop the submitted images to use in the publication as well as any other promotional literature/activities.
  • Other Conditions
    • The finalists will be required to take part in publicity of said contest.
    • Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
    • Nepali law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nepali Courts shall prevail.
    • If any of the information in the submission form is inaccurate, the submission will be automatically disqualified.
    • Violation of any of the Terms & Conditions or carrying out any act in derogation to the spirit and purpose of the Contest will result in disqualification of the participant in whose favour such violation or derogation is made, unless something to the contrary can be proved or reasonably determined. Non- adherence to any further notification or creating unnecessary impediments against the smooth functioning of the Contest will also result in disqualification. Such discretion lies solely upon the Organizers.
    • Telephone queries will not be entertained.
    • The Organizers reserve the right to take any decision in all matters concerning this Contest.
    • The Organizers shall not be liable for any loss to any party arising out of this Contest.
    • If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Organizers corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Organizers reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest. If Sponsor elects to cancel or terminate the Contest, Sponsor will not retain any rights in the submitted photographs and recipes.
